(Take what I’m saying with a grain of salt, since this post is sponsored, but I’ve always believed in straight talk, and that hasn’t changed.) I love finding all these oldies but goodies! My honest assessment: I’m finding photos I can’t even remember taking, that were hidden in my photo library, again that have been spread over multiple hard drives and devices. In fact, Mylio says it now has “the fastest and most reliable search and filter tools.” Mylio’s new AI tools are called smart tags, and they help you with pre-determined categories to help you find everything from people with only smiling faces, to anything with just red, green or blue–if the photo contains the color in clothing or even shade, you’ll find it this way. Let’s face it, too many of us spend way too much time scrolling, looking for images to show people. Its hope is that by going free, more people will check it out, like it, and then decide to start paying $10 monthly to be able to access the entire collection across multiple devices. Mylio has been around since 2012, and has yet to go mass market, despite a pretty great sales proposition–taking control of your ever-growing image collection. What’s free? Collecting images to the app, and using the new AI search tools to find stuff. And if you want to use Mylio’s stellar backup tools with hard drives, that’s part of the subscription as well. If we want to sync them all up from computers, tablets and phones, so that the same thing I see on my Mac is what I see on the smartphone app, then we’ll have to pay. Now, we can still organize and find the images and that’s for free. Plus, Mylio offered backup tools to have multiple copies available locally. The old way: we paid $9.99 monthly to gather all our photos from phones, tablets and computers and have them accessible everywhere. 1 problem we as digital photographers face: finding all those photos we’re snapping daily. Let me break it down for you.Īgain, Mylio’s pitch has been that by using its software, you’ll be able to gather all your images into one collection and help solve the no. Just be prepared for some confusion between what you can get for free, vs. Mylio’s new update and terms are worth everyone checking out, because the search is that good.
